AMA web site - working together for a better place for models
The Association of Model Agents website has now gone live and another good source of information about modelling has found its way to the web.
We are pleased to announce that the Association of Model Agents that represents major Fashion agencies in the UK has finally got an online presence. There are pages of information about the Association and its 17 members which represent 90% of the high fashion model business in the UK.
There are sections on becoming a model, child modelling, rogues agencies etc but please note that the Association is only concerned with high level fashion modelling and their advice such as "girls should be at least 5ft 8ins tall" ignores the thousands of successful models in other modelling sectors.
We believe that the easier it is for models and prospective models to get as wide a source of information about the industry, the better, and so are happy to give information and links to the AMA. The AMA is a trade body for Agents serving its own ends unlike ALBA which is totally independent service to models and the public.
