This meltdown on strategy and cowing down to other countries is sending young models the wrong message - that they are not worth fighting for ... I have been fighting for them, and I will continue to do so; but give me some help ! I have learnt within almost 14 years of running alba, change cannot come overnight but to give up in less than one year - We are supposed to be a Nation of pioneers not wimps ... if New York, Milan and Paris won't play we should still enforce our own code of work ethics and provide a ground breaking society for models in the UK.   Health certificates that models had to obtain and supply was an unworkable idea as it put too much burden on models.   I suggest a simple solution that Alba recommended agencies (70 Nationwide) do not take on or provide models over age16 and over a height of 5ft 8ins tall under a size 8 - there you go, simple and effective. To hear that £42 million is being granted when ALBA has had no help or funding for 14 years despite requests does make me fell let down. Especially after producing The Models' Guide DVD, which has input from Vogue and top experts yet I could not get funding to ensure this educational DVD went to schools the public and models free. I also set up a Model Workshop to train models on health and lifestyle  - but still no funding despite requests. So MP Dee Docey and Boris - how about some help here please !
