SELECT - Model scam

One of the UK's top modelling agencies wants to warn you of the latest scam which is attempting to use the good names of genuine & well established agencies falsely.

An advert appeared in a local paper Jobs section calling for persons of all ages to attend a Hotel Scouting seminar on this following weekend.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS !

The company advertising claimed to be SELECT Modelling of London, be aware that Alba has contacted the very well known and established agency SELECT which is based in London - and they have confirmed that this scouting seminar is NOTHING to do with their genuine agency- it is an attempt to trade off the genuine name of SELECT.

The real SELECT- one of the UK's top Agencies does not represesent Child models, glamour, TV and film Extra's

So DO NOT go there and certianly NEVER part with any money at this type of scouting scam.

Parents should note that they must take extra care and do not take any child along to a scouting scam like this and permit your child to be photographed by a complete stranger, think about it - where is your proof of where the pictures may end up ?? These companies are convincing and may seem genuine but you must be aware that these scouting seminars are usually an attempt to part the public with their money and will get you nowhere !

Please note that genuine and agencies in the UK would not call a scouting seminar like this - and they do not ever use the companies which claim they can get you into a top agency- the many genuine agents in the UK have no need to as they deal with hundreds of people a week walking into their offices daily or sending applications in by post.
