DROP DEAD GORGEOUS

A must see series on BBC 3 especially if you have a teenager that wants to be a model !

Drop Dead Gorgeous is a brilliant new series on BBC 3

It is every schoolgirl's dream to be scouted in the street or shopping centre and then be whisked away to a life of catwalks, chauffeurs, six-figure contracts.

We all know how Kate Moss at age 14 years old was discovered (scouted) by Sarah Doukas of Storm but this series will show that it is not all plain sailing when you are discovered and nothing just falls into your lap when it comes to the real world of modelling.

So with Drop Dead Gorgeous we say whole heartedly "welcome to the glamorous world of modelling" ; except getting there isn't as straightforward as it might seem, as the lovely tall teenager Ashley Webb is about to discover...

Drop Dead Gorgeous, set in Runcorn, tells the story of 15-year-old geeky girl Ashley, whose life is turned upside-down when she is approached by a scout from a local modelling agency. She and her mother who acts as her chaperone are then swept along as events move at lightning speed and the whole family, including her smaller beautiful twin sister Jade, are affected.

The writing for this drama has been very well researched and really does reflect some interesting, funny and serious aspects of the modelling world and how it can affect those within it be they the model or other members of the family.

I certainly am looking forward to each episode.
